With just two days until our departure(!), we started Jonah and Lucy on a cram course of polite Croatian words and phrases using Byki Express. Meanwhile, upstairs, Adam and I are struggling to fill five suitcases to the 50 pound limit, and five carryons. They have to include everything we need for a family of five for three seasons (winter, spring, summer) for seven months. Luckily, my mom is of Swiss descent so every square inch of space in the suitcases is packed with precision.
